Together Again

“Mom, why can’t we
all be together again?”

The Older Child, shuffles
in between parent places
with his clothing, his hobbies
and school books in hand.

“It is not possible
they have a little child now.
Your Dad has remarried.”
Were our vows written in sand?

“That doesn’t matter
I want you, me and Dad
to be together again.”

Dream impossible…
Happily ever afters.
Dream Older Child,
Dream.
