Poetic Justice

Didn’t aspire to write poetry
I had other ambitions
Busy helping husband with
Family and our acquisitions.

We were sailing through life
And it all seemed sublime
When we hit teenage years
Then life wasn’t so fine.

Writing poetry oddly helped
Bring me relief
Soothing much of the pain
Of a heart full of grief.

Those sad years now passed
The pain eased with time
Yet family is stuck with
These verses of mine!
